Hand-woven C/L Pants
Constructed of hand-spun cotton, the Hand-woven C/L Pants is finished using layered natural dye techniques for unique coloring patterns on each garment. The Takarajima dye process begins with catechu dye where the tannin contained in the iron-rich mud render a bronzed finish. The process is then repeated using Kiai leaves to product an indigo dye for a layered colors and visual depth to the fabric. The Hand-woven C/L Pants feature an elastic waist with adjustable drawstring closure, single envelope pocket on the left leg, straight, loose leg and straight hem. The fabric drapes nicely over the form for a loose, comfortable fit. Pair with the Hand-woven C/L Jacket for a complete look.
The Yamai series is designed in small batches using ancient, natural fabric construction and dye techniques. The collection celebrates traditional craftsmanship while deepening the relationship between the garment and the wearer, creating a bridge to the natural world.
