FAQ
Get set and explore frequently asked questions about Snow Peak Way.
How do I register?
Sign up for mailing list, or join our Loyalty program for early access to tickets.
Are children allowed at Snow Peak Way?
Yes! Campers of all ages are encouraged to attend this family-friendly event! Children under 3 years of age do not count towards site head-count and are free.
Are pets allowed?
Yes! We welcome your “furry companions” but ask that they remain on a leash.
Are the campsites reserved or are they “first-come, first-served"?
With the purchase of Snow Peak Way tickets, this guarantees a campsite. And, yes, campsites are first-come, first-served. Please know that a tent is not included in the pricing – you will need to bring your own Snow Peak-branded tent or rent one.
Tell me more about the bathroom and shower amenities at Snow Peak Way.
SPW East & Central
There will be no showers or “flush toilets” at Sundance Mountain Resort, so please plan accordingly. However, there will be one or two centralized areas with portapotties.
SPW West
Snow Peak Campfield will have bathrooms and showers.
Will there be water onsite?
Yes, we will provide potable water for drinking, cooking, and cleanup. Snow Peak staff will provide centralized areas (i.e. a dish-washing station) in which to clean pots and pans.
Will recreation vehicles such as RVs, trailers, or camper vans be allowed at Snow Peak Way? Also, will there be onsite parking for campers?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate recreation vehicles such as RVs, trailers, or camper vans at Snow Peak Way Central. This is due to space restrictions, geography, and company policy. For example, campers attending SPW Central will ride a chairlift up the mountain to arrive at the designated campsite.
As for Snow Peak Way West, camping will be restricted to tents, tarps, and shelters. There will be a centralized parking area for vehicles, and guests will need to cart in their belongings (our staff will be providing gear shuttles). You will not be allowed to park your vehicle next to your tent. We have limited parking. Each party will be allotted one car in our onsite parking area. For additional vehicles, you may need to use our overflow parking, which is a few hundred feet away.
Can I bring non-Snow Peak items to Snow Peak Way?
Yes! We kindly ask that all campers bring or rent a Snow Peak tent for Snow Peak Way. Beyond that, campers are welcome to bring their personal camping gear to build the rest of their site.
The following tents will be available for rent during Snow Peak Way. Please reserve them in advance:
- Amenity Dome S
- Amenity Dome M
- Amenity Dome L
Can we rent items in addition to tents?
Unfortunately, no. Therefore, we encourage you to stop at our retail stores in Portland, Oregon, and Brooklyn, New York, to pick up any additional items you may need. We will also have a limited gear and apparel selection available for purchase onsite too!
Do we need to bring tables and chairs?
Yes, you will need to bring your camping gear, including cookware, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, several layers of clothing (i.e. rain jacket, fleece sweater, etc.) - anything to help make this a memorable and comfortable camping event.
Please know that Snow Peak staff will provide some chairs for seating during Takibi Time. However, I would still recommend bringing a camp chair to hang out near your campsite when you are not socializing with other campers.
Will meals be provided at Snow Peak Way?
Snow Peak will provide a light breakfast each morning, cafe service throughout the day, and bar service in the evening. Campers will need to bring their own food and meal plan for lunch. Snow Peak will provide a communal cooking area with fuel for those who need it.
Will there be cell service onsite?
Cell phone service and wireless internet will be limited, so please plan accordingly.
As far as public wireless access, unfortunately, Snow Peak is unable to provide “hotspots” onsite. Therefore, I would recommend checking your service provider’s coverage map to determine if you can connect wirelessly.
Will there be a fire ban on site?
This will depend on local weather conditions, which will be closely monitored. To help minimize negative impacts on the environment and be responsible stewards of the land, Snow Peak staff will manage Takibi Time (i.e.a happy hour for socializing) for campers using special propane-powered Takibi Fire & Grills.
Are my tickets refundable?
In the instance where you are unable to attend Snow Peak Way, we are happy to offer a full refund 14 days prior to the event. If, however, you are unable to attend the event after this date, we will not be able to refund you.
