Sales Coordinator

PURPOSE

The Sales Coordinator helps achieve our customer and revenue growth objectives by positively impacting productivity, efficiency, effectiveness and results. The Sales Coordinator supports the initiatives of the Chief Revenue Officer and is an expert on the unique product, marketing and service needs for strategic partners. The primary function of this role is to support sales initiatives and help optimize sales team functionality. This position provides coordination and general support across many facets including, but not limited to, go to market touch points, communication flows, cross-functional collaboration, connectivity with retailers, and task / project management.

STRUCTURE

  • Classification: Full Time, Non-exempt
  • Schedule: Weekend work is occasionally required.  This position will travel in support of our sales accounts, event and tradeshows
  • Location: Portland, OR
  • Reports To: Chief Revenue Officer
  • Supervising Others: No

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop and implement communication vehicles to ensure awareness for internal organization, sales reps, distributors and retailers
  • Partner with Chief Revenue Officer to deploy meaningful sales programs that align with seasonal initiatives, new store openings, trade shows, or anticipated product releases
  • Coordinate sales programs and promotions based on merchandising trends
  • Coordinate activities to ensure advertising and sales programs reach targeted customers in a timely and effective manner
  • Develop and maintain files related to sales programs, weekly ads, and marketing and special event communications; ensure they are available for future reference
  • Contribute to creation of sales policies, procedures and processes to support the business and establish effective / efficient work flow
  • Contribute to creation of reports and presentations to support business objectives
  • Confer with vendors and brokers regarding the customer response to promotional programs and general market conditions
  • Oversee printing and production of advertising and sales materials
  • Delivers in an effective and efficient manner other duties, responsibilities, and projects as may be assigned

MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience completing and managing projects with minimal oversight and against aggressive timelines
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills including active listening
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
  • Enthusiasm for a fast paced, high growth working environment
  • A creative mind with an ability to take initiative and be resourceful
  • A passion for the outdoors and the beneficial role it plays in people’s lives

    NICE TO HAVE

    • BS or BA degree from a college or university in a related field
    • Experience in the outdoor, retail, or apparel industries

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
    • Communicate effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone and by computer 
    • High stress levels may occur
