General Summary

The Snow Peak Marketing & Communications Coordinator is an integral member of the Snow Peak USA Brand Engagement team, responsible for the execution of the marketing strategy as it relates to mass communications. They will be the voice of the brand across, social media, email marketing and public relations channels. The person in this role will contribute to the growth, effectiveness, and management of Snow Peak’s most engaged and connected audiences through the strategic execution of brand messaging, product launches, seasonal promotions, and storytelling campaigns that achieve brand, consumer, and commerce performance goals. The person in this role will also oversee all coordinated communications related to our public relations agency and their respective goals.

A key partner in overall marketing performance, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator works to maximize audience engagement and enhance the digital and print brand presence by owning the planning, scheduling, copywriting, deployment, execution and maintenance of all social media, email marketing, site-content and public relations opportunities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Marketing
  • Be the voice of the brand across, social media, email marketing and public relations fields.
  • Own copy editing activity and produce brand and product copy in collaboration with brand engagement team.
  • Own digital brand expression through social media and email marketing and be the champion of our most engaged audiences.
  • Schedule, produce and publish daily, weekly and seasonal campaigns across, social media and email channels in alignment with overall campaign strategy.
  • Monitor customer engagement and be the facilitator of activity and conversation.
  • Report and monitor social media and email marketing KPI’s and trends to leadership teams.
  • Initiate actions to continuously improve social media and email marketing performance and identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Public Relations
  • Work closely with PR agency to secure short and long lead print, and digital placement opportunities in media.
  • Manage product and sample inventory for media/influencer requests, product reviews and seeding opportunities.
  • Lead and be present for all in-person public relations activities and engagements.
  • Coordinate media interview with PR agency.
  • Collaborate with PR agency on all new product-GTM and brand-related press and media kit creation.
  • Own the coordination, communication and execution of risk-management protocol.

        Position Requirements

        • Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or equivalent experience required.
        • 3-5 years’ experience in copywriting, social media management, and public relations.
        • A great writer: compelling copy and flawless spelling and grammar skills.
        • Extensive knowledge of social media best practices.
        • Technical proficiency in Mailchimp (or equivalent email marketing platform), Google Suite, MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
        • Experience with social media management tools like Hooptsuite, Buffer a plus
        • Experience with community management.
        • The charm to build authentic relationships with media, brands and customers.
        • Commitment to excellence - working nonstandard hours when necessary, anticipating issues and communicating with diplomacy, identifying emerging platforms and trends to drive innovation.
        • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
        • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
