For us, 2018 is a memorable year because it is our 60th anniversary. Snow Peak was founded in 1958 by a pure and zealous climber, the late Yukio Yamai. The focus of our founding generation looked to innovate and modernize trekking and mountaineering equipment. Today, we have continued to evolve, developing a variety of businesses including the second generation of Snow Peak, auto-camping, and the third generation, apparel. The outdoor lifestyle and camper culture have always been the foundation of our business.
I believe camping has the power to restore the human nature of all people, both young and old alike. Family camping is altogether a transformative and wonderful experience, allowing family members to share primitive and fundamental human activities together once again. Camp culture will deepen your family bond, and in the end, elevate everyone’s happiness. We are a community brand with community bonds forged through friends, family and staff camping together in the Campfield. It is in the camp field where we have created a unique bond and a real community through our shared values, fostering lifelong friendships
Together, with the Snow Peak staff from all around the world, we have become like a big family with more than 300 people. As an outdoor person, I resolutely committed to continue building on our shared values and as a brand, Snow Peak will continue to create products, services and platforms that will put smiles on everyone’s face.
